Introducing Agness

Agness worked this sampler in 1849 when she was 11 years old.
Carriage House Samplings is providing the chart for her original design . . .

. . . as well as an adaptation:

Thanks to Valley House Primitives for providing this
wonderful frame with a small swirl design,
Lakeside Linens for the beautiful 40 count Vintage Pecan Butter linen,
Needlepoint Silk for the gorgeous floss and
Kathy Bonham who expertly stitched the model for us.
And, thanks to my sister Kathy who entrusted us
with this beautiful antique for the last few years!

Suggested retail price: $18.00

  1. Marty, the sampler is wonderful. I love it!

  2. I love her design, too! It makes me want to know more about Agness! A few people have asked if the lettering is over one. It's over two. Thank you

  3. Love this one Marty. Its been worth the 2 year wait.

  4. This project is dedicated to Bonnie! Her periodic "When will it be ready?" kept me going!

  5. Thank you so much, Bonnie, for encouraging Marty to finish. Thank you, Marty, for completing such a beautiful sampler. The verse mirrors my own desires so much.
